View Jenny's BioWant to slow down this weekend? Or maybe just the opposite? From a gentle walk to exhilarating dog sledding, choose the pace of your weekend with the following outdoor events:
On Saturday, November 17, attend the Let’s Take a Walk program, modeled after the Breakheart/Fells Hiking Club! The hour long program from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm will walk to Pickeral Rock at an easy pace over gentle terrain. Meet at the Middlesex Fells Reservation in Stoneham.
Looking for something a little more fast paced? Get moving in the Breakheart Turkey Trot 5K Annual Fun Run on Sunday, November 18! Meet at the Breakheart Reservation at 10:00 am for this two hour event.
Ever wonder what it’d be like to dog sled? Come to the educational Dog Sled Fun Run on Saturday, November 17. Hosted by the Yankee Siberian Husky Club and the Boston Snow Dogs, meet the furry athletes as they train for the winter season and watch the exciting wheeled rig demonstrations! The event takes place from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton.
And on Thursday, November 15, the Saugus River Watershed Council is holding its Annual Meeting and Dinner at the Hilltop Steakhouse, Route 1 South, Saugus. The meeting will feature the keynote presentation, History of Breakheart Reservation. For online registration go to www.saugusriver.org.
