Also known as the Eastern States Exposition, The Big E is the Northeast’s largest agricultural fair that features crafts, cooking demonstrations, concerts, and traditional fair events including a giant pumpkin and squash weigh off for kids, cheese and pie competitions and livestock competitions!
On Thursday, September 29, MassWildlife hosts another Wildlife Habitat Site Walk at 6p.m. in Chesterfield at the Hiram Fox Wildlife Management Area. Meeting at the intersection of Ireland Street and Ireland Street Extension, MassWildlife biologists and foresters will discuss both planned and completed habitat management activities for the area. This site walk is a great opportunity for interested conservation-minded citizens and landowners to learn more about management operations that benefit an array of wildlife and flora in special need of conservation.
