The restoration of Red Brook and the subsequent revival of the brook’s population of native brook trout is major milestone in conservation in New England; which thirty years ago was considered next to impossible by former state fishery biologists. The key to future restorations here in the Commonwealth lies in leveraging public opinion to support
a new vision of what is possible in regards to restoring our coastal streams and the native species that inhabit them.
